Crispy Onion Rings

Serve these crispy rings at a braai - everyone will be back for seconds.

Ingredients
  

  • 125 ml Flour
  • 1 ml Salt
  • 1 ml Paprika
  • 125 ml Beer
  • 1 Egg white
  • 6 Onions, cut into rings +- 1cm thick

Instructions
 

  • Mix dry ingredients together in a Mix-N-Stor. Add beer and mix well.
  • In Quick Shake, beat egg white until stiff. Fold into mixture in Mix-N-Stor with Paddle Scraper.
  • Dip onion rings into batter.
  • Fry in hot oil until light brown and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towel.

Notes

To prevent sogginess, always ensure that the oil is hot enough before frying. To test this, put a bread crumb into the oil. If it sizzles, the temperature is correct.
