
Creamy Smoked Salmon and Pasta
A pasta recipe with a salmon twist.
Ingredients
- 750 gm Giant Pasta Shells
- 1 Tbs butter or 15mls oil
- 1-2 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 medium onion diced
- Juice of 1 lemon or 2 tablespoons bought lemon juice
- 250 gm of cream cheese mixed with 15ml fresh cream-optional
- 400 gm smoked salmon off cuts.
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil pasta in either salt water or I add a teaspoon of chicken stock powder, until al dente (soft but still holds its shape)
- Melt the butter or heat the oil in a very large pot, one big enough to add the pasta to afterwards for mixing. Fry the onion and garlic until soft and glassy.
- Mix in the lemon juice
- Add your cream cheese. Mix well.
- Add your pasta and mix well until the shells are coated. Serve with a green salad.
