
Simply shortbread
A simple shortbread recipe that will satisfy the taste buds.
Ingredients
- 150 g Sifted flour
- 55 ml Castor sugar
- 80 ml Chopped pecan nuts, optional
- 90 ml Cornflour
- 1 ml Salt
- 125 g Butter, melted
- Extra castor sugar to dust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius. Grease a 20 cm cake tin.
- Combine first five ingredients in 2 L Mix-N-Stor.
- Pour in melted butter, mix to combine with Paddle Scraper.
- Press into tin, prick with fork.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until evenly risen and slightly brown.
- Remove from oven, cut into 12 wedges, sprinkle with castor sugar.
Notes
Shortbread or biscuits will stay fresher for longer if you sprinkle castor sugar on the bottom of the tin.
