
Bobotie
This is an adapted Bobotie recipe, it is quick, easy, uncomplicated and delicious.
Ingredients
- 500 gm mince
- 2 slices of white bread
- 1 Tbs curry powder
- 1 onion diced
- 1 cup beef stock
- 20 ml sugar tablespoon
- 2 eggs
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Soak the bread in 1/2 cup stock. Fry the onion with the curry, sugar, salt and bay leaf.
- Add the meat to bread and then the onion mixture. Beat 1 egg and mix with the stock and add to the mince mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into an oven proof dish and beat the second egg and pour over the top.
- Bake at 200C for 30 minutes.
- Serve with basmati rice.
