
Chicken Macaroni
Make this delicious casserole with left over chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 x 500 grams Pkt of Macaroni
- 35 ml Oil
- 2 Onions, chopped
- 300 grams Mushrooms, chopped
- 375 ml Milk
- 1 Pkt Mushroom soup powder
- 1 x 410 grams Tin evaporated milk
- 600 grams Cooked chicken, roughly chopped
- 2 ml Mixed herbs
- 250 ml Grated Cheese (100g)
- 2 ml Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius.
- Cook macaroni in boiling water until soft. Drain. add 15ml oil to prevent sticking together.
- Heat the remaining oil and fry the onions. Add the mushrooms and fry until soft.
- Mix the milk and soup powder together in the quick shake. Add to the ingredients in saucepan, together with evaporated milk. Cook until thick, stirring all the time.
- Add the chicken, herbs, two thirds of the cheese and the macaroni.
- Place mixture in a large casserole dish. Sprinkle paprika and the remaining cheese on top. Bake for about 20 minutes.
