Homemade Ice Cream

This is the only ice cream recipe you will ever need, it is easy and versatile.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 ml Orley whip or other cream substitute
  • 125 ml sugar castor sugar is better, but you can use regular sugar
  • 4 eggs no need to separate
  • 5 ml Vanilla essence

Instructions
 

  • Put the whole lot in your mixing bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. No need for extra bowls. Freeze for at least 8 hours.

Variations

  • Strawberry – replace vanilla essence with a packet of unsweetened strawberry or cherry or raspberry jelly.
  • Chocolate – add 30 ml cocoa powder
  • Coffee- replace the essence with 5 ml instant coffee dissolved in a little boiling water and add
  • Nut – add 1-2 cups chopped nuts
  • Peanut butter – replace essence with 5 ml peanut butter softened in boiling water
  • Serve and enjoy.
