Crisp Kingklip Casserole

Tender fish baked in a creamy sauce with crispy topping.
- 30 ml Butter or margarine
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 20 ml Flour
- 500 ml Milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 500 ml Cooked Kingklip or Hake, flaked
- 250 ml Grated cheese
- 250 ml Cornflake crumbs
Preheat oven at 180 degrees celcius. Grease a casserole dish.
Melt butter and sauté onion. Add flour and cook for a further minute.
Remove from stove and add milk. Mix well.
Cook sauce till thick, stirring continuously. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add the cooked Kingklip. Pour mixture into greased casserole dish.
Mix cheese and crumbs together and sprinkle over fish.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
